It’s Happening

It has been six years in the making, and now our studio is complete and the website for Chester River Pottery is up and running. It’s time to build a community. With this blog, “All Things Ceramic” I hope to make Pottery and Ceramic Art as exciting for you as it is for me. Pottery is my passion and I hope it will become yours as well. Pottery aficionados and amateur potters will both find something of interest in “All Things Ceramic”.

My Journey

About six years ago we were strolling and exploring the historic district of Chestertown, Maryland a wonderful place on the banks of the Chester River. As we walked along, we discovered the River Arts Clay Studio on High Street and that’s where my passion for pottery began. We went into see the studio and I was hooked. That year my husband gave me a registration for a beginner’s pottery class, and now here I am with my own studio and sharing my passion with you.

What’s Next

In subsequent posts I will be sharing new pieces from the studio, interviewing other local potters in the Chester River area, and discussing all Things ceramic.
