Amazing

WOW, what an amazing week. I’m talking about Clayshare Con.  What an exciting program by Jesica Putman-Phillips and Kevin Phillips of Clayshare. The experience was five days of video streaming packed with useful information and demonstrations, great info for anybody interested in ceramics or pottery.

Amaco-Print Making

There were so many wonderful demonstrations, so with. Difficulty, I’ll give you my top two. Amaco-Print Making with velvet underglazes. OMG. I use underglazes all the time, but who knew you could make your own silk screens with a Cricut Machine and organza fabric. I definitely recommend viewing this video, Day 1 at 11 AM, on the Clayshare website.

Colors For Earth

Day 4 at 3:30 introduced me to Paula McCoy at Colors for Earth. She demonstrated carving and shading. She made it look easy. Paula was back on Day 5 at 11 AM with another demonstration. Both demonstrations were fantastic.

Can’t Wait For Next Year

Please don’t think for a minute that these were the only great demonstrations. I thought I would review the schedule for the week, highlight a few that I wanted to see and skip the rest. Nope, I watched every single demonstration. Some were repeat techniques, others were brand new to me. All were worthwhile and well worth the investment of my time. I think you’ll like them too. CAN’T WAIT FOR CLAYSHARE CON 2023!
