From The Studio: 2024 in Review

As we close out another year at Chester River Pottery, we’re reflecting on the highlights and milestones that made 2024 truly memorable. It’s been a year of creativity, growth, and connection, and we’re so grateful for everyone who’s been part of the journey.

Celebrating New Collections

This year, we introduced two significant collections: the “Holiday House” series, inspired by the festive nature of gingerbread houses, and the “Carly’s Chicken Nugget Trays,” which capture the excitement and enthusiasm of the young at heart. Our community responded with incredible excitement to both collections, and it was a joy to see these pieces find homes near and far

In The Studio and Events

2024 was also a year of learning and collaboration. RoMi joined the studio as an apprentice potter and began to create and share the joy of making pottery. Just this month, RoMi sold her first piece. As you may have guessed, our granddaughter Carly has joined the studio and started her pottery journey.

In June, we visited our friends at the Ceramic Shop in Norristown, PA, and met and shared with Jessica from Clay Share. We also purchased a Clay Extruder and have begun to explore its creative possibilities, such as fluted vases.

We also participated in three Art Walk Events the Kent Cultural Alliance sponsored. The Art Walks are extraordinary events, and we enjoy spending time with other artists and sharing with customers.

Expanding Our Reach

Thanks to your support, Chester River Pottery expanded its presence both online and in a local gallery. We enhanced and updated the e-commerce platform to make shopping for our pottery easier than ever. The positive feedback has been overwhelming, and we’re excited to continue sharing our work with even more people.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we turn the page to a new year, we’re already brimming with ideas for what’s next. Stay tuned for sneak peeks of our upcoming collections, new workshop offerings, and a few surprises we can’t wait to share.
